KIMO Institute proudly participated in the “Young Tech Collective: On-Site Training for Focal Points” held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 18–22 May 2026. Organized under the Digital Democracy Initiative (DDI) and facilitated by Tifa Foundation in collaboration with regional partners, the program brought together civil society organizations and youth-led institutions from across East and Southeast Asia to strengthen digital resilience, organizational security, and civic engagement.
Representing Chin State,
Myanmar, KIMO Institute joined participants from regional organizations to engage in intensive training sessions on digital protection, cybersecurity awareness, risk assessment, secure communications, safer browsing practices, social media safety, and organizational digital security planning. The training also focused on strengthening institutional capacity and building a collaborative network of young civic and technology leaders across the region.
Through this participation, KIMO Institute continues its commitment to empowering local communities, promoting digital literacy, and enhancing institutional resilience in conflict-affected areas of Myanmar. The experience provided valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, regional collaboration, and practical learning that will contribute to the Institute’s future educational and civic initiatives.
